Beginners
Join Little Vikes! A 3-level instructional clinic for youths aged 5 – 13. Little Vikes prepares beginner golfers to graduate to on-course training: how-to play quickly, with courtesy, and with an understanding of the rules and traditions of the game.
The Tour
The Junior Golf Victoria (JGV) Tour (formerly known as the Junior Vikes Tour) is a competitive schedule of up to 24 events at area golf courses for experienced junior golfers.
Where Kids Play Golf
The founders of JGV found countless hours of joy, sportsmanship, and challenge on the courses of their youth. Now, their goal is to bring this same experience to young Victorian’s by creating opportunities for kids to enjoy the game today. Junior Golf Victoria
In partnership with the University of Victoria Department of Athletics, Junior Golf Victoria (JGV) has been introducing youth to the game since 2008.
With programs ranging from beginner clinics and workshops to competitive tours, JGV gives all kids an opportunity and place to play.
While players earn bag-tags, merits, and awards, JGVs competitive programs are centred on mentoring young players in golf etiquette, personal integrity, and most importantly, good citizenship.
