52 Players in Season Opening Field at Uplands including 7 Newcomers

The Junior Golf Victoria Tour launched it’s 2020 season February 22nd at Uplands Golf Club. Given the  large field some were unable to finish before dark so for some divisions the tournament was shortened to 15 holes. This meant that rather than finishing second Shu Yamamoto finished in a three way tie for first in the Junior Division and is putting his lawsuit on hold.  Chase Basanta on the other is looking for legal counsel. When reached for comment the third first place finisher Gordon Bishop stated that he just plays for the love of the game. The Girls finished all 18 holes and were led by Tour stalwart and soon to be USD Coyote Akari Hayashi who fired a one under par 72. The Peewee Division was won by host club member Roy Park who when asked for a comment referred us to his agent. In the Bantam Division Brendan O’Brien and Daniel Bennett tied for first.

It was great to see everyone after a four month break. It was particularly wonderful to welcome 7 new players to the Tour. Sorry we couldn’t find anyone nicer for you to play with, we’ll try to do better next time.

See everyone at Gorge Vale March 8. Get your entries in soon as the field is filling up.
